Joey’s Legacy
When I was born, I was taken home to a boxer. Loyal, mischievous, giddy and protective, boxers are a dog breed that have been important throughout my life. The last three were rescued through this charity; fostering Lennox and Rubble and then adopting Boogie. The charity’s work is now being extended for other breeds to benefit from their support.
I’ve had 8 brilliant bouncy bonkers boxers in my life – so far! There are some of photos of their ‘help’ on my media… The care, energy and impact from this rehoming team is phenomenal – and entirely voluntary!
Donations to this charity are all towards the welfare of dogs needing new homes – important and fantastic!
Joeys Legacy are a registered charity dedicated to helping dogs in need. From 2009 until 2021, we were a breed specific rescue for Boxers and other similar breeds. ‘Our charity recently changed and we now take in and rehome all breeds of dogs. We have a no destruction policy and never put a healthy dog to sleep. Full assessment is completed whilst the dogs are in our care to ensure that when ready for adoption, they can be matched to the right family. We receive no funding at all and are run entirely by volunteers.
